Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Split: What Went Wrong

Attending the Resist Melanoma advantage on Jan. 28 in Los-Angeles, the couple appeared separately but registered up within the intimate event, relaxing together in betraying small warning of an impending split and the middle of the area. But behind the scenes, the Oscar-winning actress, 41, and the Coldplay frontman, 37 – who reported on Tuesday their decision to actively uncouple – have been fighting for some time to keep their marriage afloat, many options tell PEOPLE. The pair, that are parents to daughter Apple, 9 ½, and boy Moses, 7 ½, 'really tried to make the relationship work, but often it 's best to not be married,' says a source close to Paltrow. 'They know that about each other now.' Rumors of difficulty had long dogged the couple, and Paltrow accepted experiencing difficulties in her relationship. ` You 're not studying anything until you 're having the challenging conversations,' she advised Self last year. 'Dealing with issues straight changed my relationships. Often when you get clear about who you're, others get less comfortable simply because they preferred who you were. It's changed my relationship, too, but he's up for that concern.' In terms of cheating rumors, the foundation near Paltrow says she finds the chatter 'ridiculous. And do you know what? ' Despite the announcement in their split, both stars are united inside their effort to keep carefully the kids' lives as constant as you can even as the rumor mill churns. ` what individuals are going to say and They're both prepared for the next few weeks and they really don't care,' says the Paltrow source.
